A bit about me
Hi, I’m Coco (she/her), a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor and a professional art therapist. I believe healing happens when we feel safe enough to turn inward and explore who we truly are, with our values, needs, and the parts of ourselves that often go unseen.
As a Taiwanese woman who came to Canada to study in my teens and grew up as the eldest daughter, I learned early how to navigate responsibility and expectations. For a time, I felt disconnected, dissatisfied and lost from myself. In my late twenties, during a yoga teacher training in India, I experienced a major emotional release which helped me recognize old wounds, unmet needs, and deep self-rejection I had been carrying. This marked the beginning of my healing journey and the repair of important relationships in my life.
Today, my work aligns the mind, body, and spirit. I use creativity, breath, and body awareness to offer a supportive space as we explore what matters most to you. As a dream exploration practitioner, I intuitively guide people in meeting fear, nightmares, and creative blocks with curiosity and care. Through dreams, art, and lived experience, we uncover symbolic messages that support self-discovery, healing, and purposeful change.
Who I work best with
I work mostly with women and youth who are navigating family dynamics, relationship challenges, and big, often unspoken emotions. Many folks I support are highly sensitive, creative, or anxious, and are used to caring for others or holding things together. In our work together, we slow down, build emotional awareness, and learn new ways of responding with intention. We’ll move through fears, untangling the knots of your heart one at a time, at a pace that feels aligned.
As a therapist, I help people explore identity, emotions, and self-expression in creative and meaningful ways. Our sessions may include reflecting on who you are beneath roles and expectations and developing new ways of responding to life’s challenges. Clients often share that gentle guidance and reflective prompts support creativity, flow, and self-acceptance.
I am centered by…
I am centered by art journaling and mandala art, small acts of kindness, slow mornings and movement, and spiritual practices that invite presence, softness, and connection with myself and the world around me.
Fun fact:
I’m also a trauma-informed yoga teacher and a dog mom to a senior pup.
