A bit about me
Hi I’m Chloe, a Registered Clinical Counsellor and art therapist with a Master of Counselling Psychology: Art Therapy. I believe healing happens in spaces where you don’t have to perform, explain yourself, or have everything figured out.
I’m a Canadian-born Taiwanese woman, the eldest of four girls to first-generation immigrant parents. In my childhood, I struggled with stress from external expectations and a fear of failure. My body learned to live in a state of chronic stress and burnout, and my relationship with rest continues to be an ongoing journey. My lived experience shapes how I support others in listening to their bodies, tending to anxiety, and recognizing when they’ve pushed beyond their limits.
Through my practicum experiences and work at Decipher, I’ve supported individuals navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, cultural identity, systemic oppression (such as involvement in court processes), and complex family dynamics. This work also extends to individuals impacted by violence, crime, and intergenerational trauma. I offer counselling, art therapy sessions, and workshops in support of QTBIPOC folks.
What is it like working with me?
Working with me is collaborative, supportive, and very human. I often use humour as a connecting and grounding tool, making room for silliness, big feelings, and the realities of navigating life.
When difficult feelings come up, like shame, self-blame, rejection, or indecision, we meet them together with care and curiosity. I work from a person-centred and culturally sensitive lens, with attention to both trauma responses and the strengths you carry. I’m here to honour your lived experiences while supporting you in growing beyond the systems, narratives, or diagnoses that may have shaped you.
I am grounded by…
… slowing down, staying curious, and building relationship first. I’m guided by cultural humility, care, and consent. My intentions begin with listening and learning from your body, your lived experiences, and the ways you’ve learned to survive and adapt. I aim to practice in ways that gently resist grind culture, honour rest and boundaries, and support self-compassion; especially in a world that often asks us to push past our limits.
How can I help?
I can support you if you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, burned out, or stuck in the world. I work best with those navigating their identity, values, relationships, family dynamics, or the weight of systemic oppressions. I welcome folks who are reconnecting with themselves, redefining rest, processing trauma, or trying to make sense of big life transitions.
In our work together, we can slow down, explore what’s coming up for you, and build tools for coping and self-understanding. Whether we’re talking things through or using art-making to help express what’s difficult to put into words, my role is to walk alongside you with care and curiosity.
fun facts
I love a good spicy dish, and I add chili oil to almost everything I cook. I’ve been bouldering and climbing for the past two years, and recently passed my top rope certification.
